Climbing of any kind is an activity that everyone should get into at least once in their life. When you’re on a mountain, hanging on a rockface, or even climbing trees, you get a benefit unlike any other. On one side, you get to experience challenging yourself and pushing your personal boundaries; on the other, you get to appreciate nature and the wonders that this planet has to offer.
Celebrities are also people like us; just trying to get through another day, interested to try different things out. It is entertaining that some of them have done climbing at least once, and there are different types of climbing that they are in.
Indoor climbers may have rubbed elbows with one Lea Michele at least once. The actress confessed how much she loved her initial indoor climbing experience, she had an interview done while she was trying out an indoor wall. Even when going guesting and late night shoots, Lea still put in time the next morning to get some climbing in.
Even with a busy schedule, Keira Knightley of “Pirates of the Caribbean” fame takes time to go out and try the newest indoor climbing gym on the block. She may not be very vocal about what she does to slim down further, but the actress has been spotted at least once in an indoor climbing gym. This was during a break in filming a movie.
Climbing a mountain can be fun alone, but once you add friends, you’ve got a climb that’s a whole lot better. Cheryl Cole decided to try out climbing Mount Kilimanjaro along with a few buddies such as Gary Barlow and DJ Chris Moyles. They took the Lemosho Route—a multi-day route. However, conditions went awry as the wind was too strong once they got back from the summit, which hastened their descent.
Now you know why she’s always sporting such a rocking body. Jessica Biel, ever athletic and active, decided to try conquering Kilimanjaro and managed to reach the summit doing so. Her group included musician Kenna, actor Emile Hirsch, and Kick Kenned of the Kennedy family. Even through increment weather and dropping temperatures, the entire group managed to reach the summit through the 7-day Shira path.
Known for her roles that include a little more kick than most, Eliza Dushku always finds time to squeeze in a little exercise in her routine. This includes rock and indoor climbing, two activities that helps her keep her body in shape. Growing up with her brothers also helped in getting her into the active lifestyle. Recently, though, her schedule only allows for a bit of Zumba and, impressively, triathlons.
